News Update

Yo teens,
Thanks to all who came yesterday for a great time - God is fantastic, isn't He!
I'll just remind you that we won't be meeting until the 8th of August now.
We'll be meeting between Ross High, and the playing fields again, since that seems to be a great location.
If anyone wants my notes for the talk, please drop me an e-mail at tranentyouth@gmail.com. I'll be heading off on monday to Switzerland though, so if you e-mail me after Sunday, you probably won't get them until August.
I'll try and bring them next time we meet as well.

My current plan is to teach next time on the topic "God: The Evidence", explaining the hard evidence for God's existence from different angles, including archaeology, history, science, miracles, and some of the incredibly specific and accurate prophecies from the Bible (including a prophecy to one king mentioned by name some 600 years before he was born). The incredible thing is that this level of the supernatural is still very available to God's people today - if we're only willing to pursue Him!

When and where are we meeting?

We will be meeting on the lighthouse bus, near the cage in Tranent at 7pm on a Wednesday night, finishing at 8pm. We will be meeting for 2 weeks - Wednesday the 27th of June, and Wednesday the 4th of July. After this we will take a months summer break, and return on Wednesday the 8th of August.
So dates to remember:
- 27th June
- 4th July
- 8th August

What are we all about?

Yo teens.
Some of you may be thinking: What's this Youth thing all about?

Well let me tell you.
There is a God in heaven who created you to know Him. He's like a Father to you. He longs to speak to you and to bless you, but each of us needs to come to Him first.

This cell is about meeting this God. The God who does miracles in our everyday lives. The God who loves you like a perfect Father. The God who longs to lead you into the best, funnest, most fulfilled life you could imagine, who actually created you to experience that life.

We want to teach you how to know God as a friend, seeing His love, power and amazing life in your own lives.

Are you feeling depressed? Feeling frustrated? Feeling like life's a mess? God is the answer. The Bible teaches that Jesus came to give us true life - super abundantly - and we want to teach you how to experience that.

The Lighthouse church is a Christian, Bible believing church. We have seen God doing awesome things, and look forward to seeing much more.
